VISUAL STORYTELLER

Welcome!

I’m a multimedia journalist particularly interested in telling stories at the intersection of science, the environment and society. For the past decade I’ve produced and presented radio for the BBC where I’ve recorded alongside beehives, up mountains, beneath the waves and told stories of hop-pickers, fire-fighters, female boxers, brain surgeons, turtle catchers and sanitary pad inventors.

Alongside radio I am a keen photographer, and have had the privilege of travelling extensively and photographing wonderful things and people for work and my own pleasure. I love shooting nature and landscapes and visually telling the stories of people living in them.

Alongside journalism I’m a Fulbright alumni who spent a year in Oregon working on projects looking at how storytelling can play a role in bringing science and society into a more fruitful dialogue to help tackle some of the big issues of our time - like climate change. I focussed on the issue of wildfires whilst there, and you can find some of the stories that emerged from that work in the radio reporting chapter on this site.

Please do get in touch if you’d like to discuss my work.
